The Pre Primary Section

Pre-Primary

The Pre-Primary Section includes Play School, Nursery, Lower KG, and Higher KG with the aim of creating an environment where children feel confident, secure, and empowered to realize their full potential. The section is staffed by a team of dedicated, highly qualified, and experienced professionals who craft a well-resourced and stimulating space tailored to meet the unique needs of young learners.

Our instructional method is a blend of “Learning through Play” that combines traditional and Montessori approaches. Through hands-on activities, children are encouraged to explore, fostering observation skills, teamwork, and creativity. The ethos of sharing and fair play is actively promoted within a structured yet informal learning environment, where activities are meticulously designed to enhance fine motor skills and encourage sensorial development.

At the Pre-Primary level, a distinctive and systematic language program is implemented to empower children to achieve reading fluency. The curriculum strategically sensitizes children to individual sound units in words, enabling them to decipher previously unknown languages. Our ultimate aim during these formative years is to instill in every child a love for learning and ensure they fondly cherish their initial experiences in school.

Our resource unit, comprising dedicated teaching staff, leverages available technology to create customized teaching aids and curriculum materials. The design of lessons and assessments is guided by various methodologies, ensuring optimal skill development for each grade level.

The Secondary Section, spanning classes V to X, marks the transition to Senior School. Here, students are encouraged to cultivate independence and take charge of their learning. Leveraging the resources available in the library, including books and the internet, students conduct reference work for class projects and individual subjects. The commitment to holistic development persists, with students building upon the strong foundation laid in previous years to confidently tackle challenges at this level.

In classes IX and X, the curriculum adheres to the guidelines set by the Council. These years mark a pivotal phase in a student’s school life, where crucial decisions are made—particularly regarding the choice of subjects in Group 2 and 3 for classes IX and X. The ICSE curriculum is categorically divided into three groups, and each student entering Class IX selects seven subjects from these groups for two years of study until Class X.
